To be an artist is to be individual, expressing what you want to express and not bending to the pressure of performance. When you begin to express what other people want you to express, are you really being a true artist?

Life is intertwined.
Life reflects in everything.
Moods show forth in the oddest of places.
No one takes thought to notice.

Often people don't realize how much of their life comes out in the small things they do.
Like what book they read.
Like what clothes they chose to wear that day.
Like what music they listen to.
How they see the world is expressed in how they talk
How they write.
How they work.
How they create.
And especially in what they create.

Do you realize how much you can know what a person is going through just by observing them?

I was taking thought for all of this, thinking on how little inspiration I've had in my photography over the past few weeks.  I took some time this afternoon to try and capture the hazy heat we had this afternoon.  I don't think I succeeded but taking thought and effort for it did me good.

I wish more people took more thought.
